Kids book blog: Introducing children to the wonders of nature

It’s been such an challenging time for kids, parents and educators, as the pandemic has literally flipped their world upside down. Summer camps, schools and other kids activities have been forced to downsize, pivot or shut down. On the bright side there are more opportunities for kids to play safely outside and children and youth are reading more than ever!

I love books that:

  1. introduce children to the magic and wonder of nature
  2. gets kids outside exploring and asking question
  3. teach children to take care of the planet

What are your favourite kids’ environmentally-themed books, from board books for babies to great read-aloud picture books?

As a children’s environmental education advocate and a children’s book author,  I am all about introducing children to the wonders of nature.

That includes introducing kids, parents and teachers to the latest Environmental Science & Nature fiction and non-fiction picture books for kids.

I receive review copies from publishers and authors from time to time, with no implied promise that the books will be reviewed favourably or at all.
